General Context.

Ingredion is a leading multinational company in ingredient solutions. Dedicated to manufacturing sweeteners, starches, nutritional ingredients, and biomaterials that customers use in everyday products, from food and beverages to paper and pharmaceuticals.

Challenge.

Across different areas of the business, the need arose to integrate multiple sources of information, such as: finance, production, quality, safety, maintenance, and utilities, to name a few. All of these areas reported from different information systems to be consolidated into Excel reports. This consolidation had to be done manually by some members of the team, which could take them many hours each week to accomplish. In that regard, an integrated solution capable of consolidating the information automatically was needed.
